Belay Gate - Triangle

A simple way to reinforce the proper use of auto belay devices and minimize risk from climbing error.

The Belay Gate is a simple way to reinforce the proper use of auto belay devices and minimize risk from climbing error. Routesetters are encouraged to use the Belay Gate to cover starting holds, thereby limiting the likelihood of climbers starting a route without first clipping in. Printed warnings and bright colors also help to make the Belay Gate an effective safety component for any TRUBLUE installation.

While not in use, the auto belay clips into the triangular Belay Gate, blocking the initial foot holds and hand holds of a climbing lane. Once the climber transfers the auto belay carabiner from the gate to their harness, the Belay Gate lays flat on the floor, opening the climbing lane and alerting others there is a climber above. Premium foam core gives the gate structure to block climbing access until users are properly attached.

The two adjustable lower loops can be attached directly to the wall with screws, under small holds, or to bolt hangers. The words "Clip In" are in plain view when the gate is up on the wall, and the words "Climber Above" warn others when the auto belay is in use.

The Rectangular Belay Gate is built with premium core foam and contains two carbon fiber rods, allowing it to retain its shape, regardless of whether it is hanging upright or laying down.

TRUBLUE Auto Belays use patented magnetic braking technology, also found in high-speed trains and roller coasters. This provides friction-free, reliable braking that eliminates brake pads and reduces wear and maintenance.

Each device undergoes extensive third-party testing by an ISO 17025 accredited lab, ensuring top-tier safety and performance. This results in an extended device lifespan and higher cycle capacity, making TRUBLUE the safest, most durable auto belay on the market.

TRUBLUE Auto Belays are life-safety devices, and annual service inspections are crucial to maintaining safety standards and ensuring your device warranty remains valid. Lives are quite literally on the line!

Each service includes a comprehensive 62-point inspection, repairs or replacements of worn parts (including webbing), cleaning, and testing across a full range of weights to ensure optimal performance.

TRUBLUE Auto Belays require service inspections 15 months after the manufacturing date and every 12 months thereafter to ensure a high standard of performance and safety.

We offer two service options: a standard annual service appointment, where you send in your device for inspection and get the same one back, or contact us for our No Delay Belay program, which provides a quick swap for a recertified fleet device with zero downtime, as well as other benefits.
