JOHN BROSLER

6X Speed Climbing National Champion

After winning four Youth National Championships while climbing for Team Texas, John made his mark on the international climbing scene in 2014 by beating out the reigning world champion in a photo-finish for the ages (a margin of victory of only 0.05 seconds!) to win his first Open National title.

Living and training out of Salt Lake City, John is a member of Team USA Climbing’s elite speed climbing team. In 2018, he won his first Pan-American Speed Climbing Championship and then won the competition for a second time in 2021. He now has his sights set squarely on the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

When he isn’t training, John likes to spend his time chilling with friends, cooking, and serving up drinks on his prize espresso machine. Like any good SLC transplant, he also likes to hit the slopes on occasion, and studies kinesiology part-time at the University of Utah.
