What is the descent rate of the TRUBLUE Auto Belay?

The descent rate of the TRUBLUE auto belay is approximately 6 ft/second (1.8 m/s). The descent is smooth with minimal variation regardless of climber weight.

Back to Categories & Questions

Is there a way to slow the descent rate on shorter walls?

The TRUBLUE can be used on any size wall. However, some operators find that the descent rate is perceived to be faster on shorter walls. If that's the case, you should order the TRUBLUE with the shorter webbing length of 7.5m (24.6 ft). This shorter webbing will slow the TRUBLUE's rate of descent. This webbing can be installed with your order or it can be replaced by the owner in the field.
